Carla Ginsberg emerged as a Visual Storyteller in all its many forms in 2005, in New York City, when she began interning for fashion companies while studying illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Carla worked for several companies in New York City from the years of 2006-2009, including Jones Group companies Nine West, Easy Spirit, and Bandolino. Her storyboards were displayed in marketing pitches and presentations to Macy's and Bloomingdale's. She has also created mood and inspiration boards for Kleenex and other like companies, while working at Trend House Inc.
In 2009, Carla relocated to San Francisco and worked as a Production Assistant for the California Academy of Sciences from 2011-2012. She helped to produce planetarium shows like, the Animal Attractions exhibit, and Science in Action videos. It was that she loved creating and telling stories that helped explain ideas and complex subjects. This fueled the start of starting a business with her husband that is Ci Studios
Carla has been freelancing the last few years, in many capacities including creating graphic novels, and kids books, storyboards, private commissions, and teaching workshops and classes for clients and the general public alike. Her work was previously being sold at The Wish List in Virginia-Highlands neighborhood in Atlanta, GA and as had her work displayed at the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2007 and 2009. As well as have her work displayed around San Francisco in 2010-2011.
